Faces and Places: Ambar Restaurant

Faces and Places is our weekly column featuring the people of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.

On a weekday afternoon, we spoke with residents dining or waiting for their take-out at Ambar Restaurant in Sleepy Hollow. We wanted to know what types of new businesses they would like to see in town.

"What sort of business would you like to see in Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow that you think is lacking?"

  • "There's enough food establishments around here. I guess something like a tech place that offers stereo equipment and stuff like that so you don't have to go to Radio Shack."

Christina Hernandez, 36, of Barnhardt Street, Sleepy Hollow; stay-at-home mom whose family owns A&H Laundry

  • "Sleepy Hollow is my town and we need for it to be revitalized. I have lots of ideas: we need a hot dog place, a massage place, a good produce store with good greens, a coffee place that takes credit... I know what we don't need is another laundromat!"
