Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst Fair Returns on May 1-3, 2015

The three-day, rain-or-shine show returns to Tarrytown for its thirty-first year

Approximately 275 artists and craftspeople will present hand-crafted wares on May 1-3, 2015 on the grounds of Lyndhurst, the Tarrytown estate that was once the home of railroad baron Jay Gould. This is the thirty-first annual staging of Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst.

A similar fall-time crafts show is held at Lyndhurst. The dates for the next event are September 18-20, 2015.

Outdoor booths and indoor-tent stands at both spring and fall shows display jewelry, clothing, leather, glassware, ceramics, woodwork, scenic photography, sculpture, handcrafted furniture, quilts, pottery, prints, paintings and blown-glass objects.

Unique items for sale at the spring 2015 fair, show executive Laura Kandel said, will include earrings made of sterling silver and python, handbags made from antique books, scarves made of bamboo, pears made of bronze, necklaces made from meteorites, pens constructed from real flowers, and bowls made of granite.

Many food-related merchants will participate. Packaged, take-home gourmet food will be available and food booths will serve sandwiches, barbecue, seafood, wraps, salads, hamburgers, ice cream, Italian ices, lemonade and more. An expanded food court will provide vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
