Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) are hosting their first annual Safety Fair For Families at this weekend.

The safety fair is free to the public and will run on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Demonstrations and giveaways will cover a number of safety topics including boating and swimming, fires, traffic, "stranger danger" and emergency preparedness.

“I am pleased to be able to host the first annual Safety Fair for Families because it provides community members with an opportunity to access the variety of resources that are available to them,” said County Executive Mangano. “I strongly encourage families to attend this event and not only have a great time, but also learn a variety of safety procedures should you need them.”
