Wantagh, Seaford Schools Close Again Thursday Due to Nor'Easter

After just re-opening this week following several missed days of classes due to Superstorm Sandy, the Wantagh and Seaford schools are closed again Thursday because of dangerous driving conditions caused by Wednesday's nor'easter.

District officials in Wantagh and Seaford sent messages to parents early Thursday morning announcing the closings. The Wantagh School District had re-opened Wednesday for the first time since Oct. 27 while Seaford students returned on Tuesday.

The neighboring Levittown School District, which services students in northern sections of Wantagh and Seaford, is also closed Thursday after re-opening Monday. Seaford's St. William the Abbot School and Maria Regina School also cancelled classes Thursday.
