Man Found Dead In Highbridge Park, Cops Say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Cops are investigating the death of a man whose body they found in Highbridge Park on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the park about an unconscious man near Amsterdam Avenue and West 190th Street just after 9 a.m., police said.

When they got there, officers found a 50-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive on the ground near the bike path. Emergency responders pronounced the man dead, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, police said. They have not yet released the name of the man.
