Manhole Fire Reported in West Village: FDNY
Fire officials were on scene along with officials from Con Edison.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Fire officials were on scene of a manhole fire in the West Village late Sunday morning.
According to the FDNY, the call came in around 10:23 a.m. on West 4th Street and 6th Avenue. The fire department was on scene along with officials from Con Edison.
A spokesman for the FDNY said there was smoke coming from the manhole. The fire was brought under control without incident. No injuries were reported and no evacuations were ordered.
