Man Killed In Hampton Bays Crash
BREAKING: His car struck a minivan and then two unoccupied trucks Monday night, police say.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY – A 48-year-old man was killed in a crash in Hampton Bays Monday night, Southampton Town Police said. According to police, Antonio Lucas, of Hampton Bays, was driving a 1992 Toyota south on State Road 24 when he apparently lost control of the car while approaching the intersection of Montauk Highway around 7:09 p.m.
The car struck a minivan that was traveling east on Montauk Highway and then continued into the parking lot of the shuttered Hampton Bays Diner, where it crashed into two parked unoccupied trucks, police said.
Lucas was freed from his car by members of the Hampton Bays Fire Department and transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Hampton Bays Ambulance. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.
