Town Police Log: Woman Turns Herself in on Larceny Charge

Grand Larceny

• Janice Vignola, 58, of Remsenburg, was arrested at Southampton Town police headquarters March 3 at 9:33 a.m. She was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony, and third-degree grand larceny, a felony. Police said Vignola turned herself in for processing on an active arrest warrant.


• Kyle Stoddard, 21, of Manorville, was arrested in Riverside on Flanders Road March 11 at 1:37 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after officers observed him operating an ATV  with no lights, police said. Cops also reported that Stoddard was tailgating another vehicle. Stoddard was additionally charged with circumventing an alcohol ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle due to a previous DWI conviction, police said.

Drug Arrests

• Deena Colgan, 40, of Riverhead, was arrested in Riverside March 10 at 11:56 a.m. on Pine Street where, police said, she was seen consuming a 40-ounce can of Bud Light beer. Colgan was cited for possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage, a violation, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. A crack pipe with cocaine residue in it was found, police said. Colgan also had in her possession prescription pills that were in an Excedrin aspirin bottle, which is classified in penal law as a public health violation, police said.
