Man Found Unconscious At Suffolk County Beach
The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

ROBERT MOSES STATE PARK, NY - A man was found unconscious at Robert Moses State Park on Thursday afternoon, George Gorman, LI regional deputy director of the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation confirmed to Patch.
The man was discovered lying in the sand by two visitors walking along the beach at about 1:19 p.m.
Gorman said he was found in a remote area of the beach about a half mile from the field 3 swimming area.

One of the visitors performed CPR on the man while the other called 911.
Police responded and the West Islip Fire Department transported the man to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.

Tim Kelchner, spokesperson for Good Samaritan Hospital, confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gorman said it is still unknown what happened to the man, whether he drowned or had a medical episode, since he was found at edge where the water meets the sand.
The circumstances are still being investigated.
