Apple Store Theft, Drug Arrest at South Lexington Garage

iPhones Stolen from The Apple Store

Police responded to The Apple Store at 125 Westchester Ave. on Tuesday on reports of a past larceny. 

A store employee reportedly told the officers that between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the back plates of four forth-generation iPhones were allegedly removed and the phones were taken from the store. The total value of the phones is $2,599.96.

Surveillance was running at the time and will made available for further investigation. The incident is being treated as felony grand larceny.

Man Arrested for Smoking Crack Cocaine in Parking Garage

While on surveillance in the 159 South Lexington Ave. parking garage at 7:54 p.m. on Tuesday, police allegedly observed a man kneeling near a parked car with a glass pipe in his mouth. The 36-year-old White Plains resident then allegedly used a lighter to ignite the pipe.

The officers reportedly approached the man, who allegedly dropped the pipe upon seeing them. The officers reportedly retrieved the pipe and noticed it contained an off-white residue.

The 36-year-old was charged with seventh-degree misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was held for court.

Petty Larceny at H&M

Police responded to H&M in the Galleria Mall at 100 Main St. at 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday on reports of a shoplifter in custody.

According to the report,an 18-year-old West Harrison resident allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for multiple clothing items that she had concealed in a personal bag.

She was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny and released on $500 bail.

Suspended License on Lake Street

On Lake Street at 10:08 a.m. on Tuesday, an electronic plate reader reportedly alerted an officer to vehicle with a suspended registration.

The information was allegedly verified by the officer during a traffic stop and the vehicle’s driver, a 65-year-old Charles Street resident was charged with third-degree misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation. His car was impounded.
