Only two hours after walking out of Wal Mart with a stolen laptop and flat screen TV, police say a group of three men returned and tried the same theft again.
This time, police say, security was ready.
Police say Wal Mart security footage shows three men walking into the store at about 7:40 p.m. Monday night. According to police, a 21-year-old Bronx man served as lookout as two other took a $248 32-inch television from a shelf and walked out. The Bronx man stole an HP computer valued at $698, police say.
The men had already left the store by the time security realized the items were missing. All three, however, returned less than two hours later and attempted to steal another 32-inch television, police say.
Security stopped one of the three men, the 21-year-old, after the other two fled the store in a gray BMW.
The suspect was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and held for court. Police are still looking for the other two men.
