The Most Important Look You'll Ever Have
Westchester stylist Julius Michael says to make prom night or your wedding day an occasion to remember, you need quality hair.
I just can't stress enough how an amazing, well chosen hairstyle can transform and complete your look. Having a phenomenal hairstyle is crucial on the most important days of your life: prom and your wedding.
If you're a true fashionista, as I know you are—then you won't let your hair look boring.
We all turn to our favorite celebrity for hair inspiration. They have stylists that turn their locks into the fab styles we all want. Unfortunately, unlike them—we have budgets.

And that budget is very important to what you'll look like, what you remember and what you'll see in years to come.
With prom season here experiment with different styles, different looks, try your hair up, try your hair down. Make sure you assess how this looks when you have your prom dress on. Talk to your stylist, let them help decide how you're going to rock the last important social event as a high school senior.

The look that's big right now is BIG hair. It's all over the runways, all over TV. Whatever style dress, keep the hair big!
Along with prom season it's also wedding season—Bridezilla's going crazy, parents going broke. What I, and most stylists I know, find funny is that a bride will spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a dress—but when it comes to the hair, they spend nothing. Is it the high cost of the dress or your make-up artist that is causing you to cut costs with your hair?
Remember your hair is your crown, your glory—it completes you and completes your look!
Do you really want to look back and say "I hate my hair in my wedding pictures!" Or have your prom photos be a joke amongst your friends, since you rocked a dated look you did yourself?
Don't end up saying "Why didn't I listen to my stylist when she said to put it up for the ceremony, and re-style it down for the reception?"
For a few dollars more she could have changed your whole look for your pictures and then the reception—but you were being cheap with your hairstyle on the most important day of your life.
When your stylist suggests adding hair pieces for fullness—it's not because she wants to sew hair together for two weeks and charge more then the cart at the mall for synthetic hair. It's because she as an expert knows you'll look that much more amazing for your pictures.
When that stylist tells you to I'll come to your house the day of your wedding—it's because we want you to feel great on your special day not, stressed with getting through traffic to get to the salon.
Local stylist Kelly Ciccone recently gave talent agent Kristy Lee Royal-Arsenis the royal wedding treatment. Though Royal-Arsenis' dress blew away Carrie Bradshaw's "Sex in the City," movie wedding dress—she knew she couldn't spend the money on the dress, and not on her hair.
Ladies, cut out a bridesmaid if you need to—but cover your hair expenses!!!
