White Plains Group Seeks Help for Palestinian Refugees

White Plains Group Seeks Help for Palestinian Refugees

WESPAC in White Plain is helping the National Institute of Social Care and Vocational Training reach its goal of $50,000 for the purchase of blankets, heaters and other supplies for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

The National Institute of Social Care and Vocational Training is group that operated community centers in 12 Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Here’s part of what the newly launched GoFundMe page says:

The holiday season is often filled with keeping others in mind and we have seen this generosity in the donations from so many people.

Despite the holiday season coming and going, refugees from Syria, including Palestinian refugee families, continue to live in difficult conditions, facing extreme cold, lack of heat, blankets and warm clothing.

Your support is needed more than ever. We are only $699 away from reaching our first $10,000. Once we reach this goal, NISCVT will use this money to purchase supplies for around 20 PRS families, those who need supplies most urgently.

Many families continue to live in garages and other poorly constructed structures. Many families continue to face a lack of water, heat, and winter supplies. We will ensure that the most in need families receive the winter supplies necessary to keep their family members warm.

Help us reach our 20% goal within the next few days, so that we may immediately reach families with crucial winter supplies.

Thank you for your support!

with love,

the NISCVT family
