WATCH: FDNY Battles Car Fire In Williamsburg

A car that was on fire just before 1 p.m. on Throop Avenue was still engulfed in flames a half an hour later, FDNY said.

WILLIAMSBUR, BROOKLYN — Firefighters battled a car fire that broke out near Throop Avenue for more than a half an hour Tuesday afternoon, FDNY officials said.

Crews were called to a car fire just before 1 p.m. and found that a car parked near Throop Avenue and Walton Street was engulfed in flames. The firefighters were still battling the blaze around 1:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.

There were no injuries reported from the fire.

Video from the scene showed that the firefighters were working to set up a hose to put out the car fire, which was in between two other parked cars that did not appear to have caught the flames.
