New 'SuperTy' Website Launches

Supporters may donate, order T-shirts and learn more about the Muddy Puddles Project.

New 'SuperTy' Website Launches

The thousands of folks who followed Ty Louis Campbell's story will notice a big change the next time they log onto SuperTy.org.

The link, which once took readers to a blog written by Cindy Campbell, Ty's mother, now offers a platform with three options: The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, The Muddy Puddles Project and Our Blog. A photo of the youngster, with spiky blond hair and an adorable grin, sits in the middle of the page.

Clicking on the foundation's link allows folks to visit the SuperTy store—where T-shirts inspired by the little boy are available. People can also donate there.

"The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation is a nonprofit organization, certified 501(c)(3), that funds innovative research and clinical trials specifically geared toward the treatment of the deadliest childhood cancers (including brain and spinal cord tumors)," the site states. "Our organization seeks less toxic, more effective treatments that are specifically designed for children fighting cancer. Our ultimate mission is to help fund the intelligence and technology that will uncover new ways to cure children with cancer."

The Muddy Puddles Project, which the Campbells describe as "a celebration of children and childhood" that "embodies the act of kids being kids in honor of those who can’t" is launching this spring.

Ty Louis Campbell, whose family lives in Pawling, died in October 2012, at the age of 5. He was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of cancer just before his third birthday.
