Police: Two Teens Charged for Assault at Phoenix Academy

Two Teens Arrested for Assault at Phoenix Academy

Two teenage Phoenix Academy residents have been arrested for the assault of another resident, Yorktown police said.

The two teens – a 17-year-old South Ozone Park and an 18-year-old Brooklyn male – were charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Police said the boys, whose names did not release, repeatedly punched and kicked a 19-year-old male resident on Sept. 24. The victim sustained head and back injuries, police said.

The following day police arrested the two teens, who were served with temporary orders of protection. Both males were remanded to the Westchester County Jail after being unable to post bail. They're due in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 2.
