Yorktown planning board members unanimously voted earlier this week to accept the company's draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) as complete.

A public hearing for the proposed Costco in Yorktown has been set after planning board members unanimously voted earlier this week to accept the company's draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) as complete. 

Residents can comment on the 2,200-page DEIS during the public hearing on Oct. 15. Once the planning board votes to close the public hearing, written comments will be accepted for 10 additional days.

Copies of the 2,200-page DEIS can be obtained from the town's planning department and at the . The DEIS will also be available on the  town's website.

Costco Wholesale Club seeks to build a 151,092-square-foot retail store available to club members at 3200 Crompond Road (U.S. Route 202, north side), just west of the Taconic State Parkway.
