Charlotte Scrapyard On Fire Off North Tryon Street
Firefighters were on the scene at a fire at a Charlotte scrapyard Monday afternoon, according to reports.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Firefighters were on the scene of a fire at a scrap yard north of uptown Monday afternoon, according to reports.
The fire in the 2900 block of North Tryon Street started around 3 p.m. June 26, with billowing columns of thick black smoke visible from uptown.
