Annette D. Sefchik (nee Duffy), 51

Annette D. Sefchik (nee Duffy), 51, of Avon, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, following a more than two-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Avon for the past 17 years.

She was a 1984 graduate of Kent State University and was previously a Toastmaster leader. Annette had been working as a Health and Wellness Life Coach for the Avon YMCA.

She was a beacon of light and hope for her family and friends and always believed anything was possible and instilled that belief in everyone she met.

As a Partylite consultant, her customers became her friends; as a Reiki master and Reflexologist, she helped to relieve the pain and suffering for many.

But above all, her family was the most important thing to her, and her love for them was boundless. The light of her life has passed from this world, but will live on in all those she touched.

Annette was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in North Ridgeville, where she was an Usher.

She enjoyed volunteering with Love a Stray in Avon and earned her Black Belt in Tae Kwan do.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; daughters, Veronica and Danielle Sefchik of Avon; son, Joseph of Avon; mother, Marilyn Genedick of Seven Hills; brother, Michael Duffy of Parma; sister, Deborah (Michael) Fekete of Parma; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Luke; father, Richard Duffy; and step-father, Andrew Genedick.

Friends may call Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Julie Billiart Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. George Vrabel, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
