Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation Awards More than $210,000 in Charitable Gifts

Norther Ohio Italian American Foundation celebrate Italian-American heritage and helps local organizations

The Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation (NOIA) awarded $211,046 to support organizations and programs in our region. NOIA, a philanthropic organization, is dedicated to supporting its communities and celebrating Italian American heritage.

Ten organizations, including four local parishes, received funding from NOIA in 2016:

“For more than 20 years, the philanthropy of our members has supported many important causes including local churches, community and arts organizations, as well as educational institutions,” said Angie Spitalieri, executive director, Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation. “We are pleased to provide funding to so many deserving organizations and individuals.”

Founded in 1995, NOIA is dedicated to supporting and promoting Italian heritage through philanthropy, events and community engagement. Members of the organizations include leaders from business, community and philanthropy. Through NOIA events, the organization blends traditional Italian arts and culture with modern business acumen.
