Garbage Catches Fire In Cleveland Heights Truck
Trash inside a city garbage truck caught fire on Monday morning.
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A garbage truck caught fire on Monday morning in Cleveland Heights, a city spokesperson confirmed. The truck was on Overlook Road when smoke began billowing out of the back.
Witnesses said the fire broke out around 8:40 a.m. Emergency vehicles were called to the scene and helped extinguish the fire. Part of Overlook was briefly closed to traffic.
The fire started because someone put something combustible in their trash. When the item was moved into the truck it caught fire.
