Cleveland Heights residents who tried to pay their Regional Income Tax Agency bills this week might have had a rude awakening: the agency’s website and phone system were down, and its office in Cleveland Heights City Hall was closed.
But not to worry—according to a message on the agency’s website, the due date for those third-quarter billing statements has been extended until Nov. 7. The due date for the third quarter is usually on Oct. 31.
The message notes that a power outage affected the agency's system from Monday night through Wednesday night. The storms caused by Hurricane Sandy caused power outages all over the area this week.
The website and phone systems were up and running again as of Thursday.
