Where To Celebrate New Year's Eve

Cuyahoga Falls has a few options both evening and Jan.1.

Where To Celebrate New Year's Eve

Get out your party hats. Cuyahoga Falls may not be Paris, New York City or Las Vegas, but residents still know how to have a good time.

New Year's Eve is filled with parties complete with food, music and fun. Sheraton Suites, Todaro's Party Center, and The Funny Stop all provide avenues for midnight fun.

If you like to attend church New Year's Day, a few churches have services for the occasion, as well.

New Year's Eve:

The Sheraton Suites in downtown Cuyahoga bills its New Year's Eve Celebration as “the area's classiest and best.” Guests ages 21 and over can dance to Cat DJ in the Grand Ballroom or to the contemporary and classic sounds of the The Gene Fiocca Band featuring song stylist Kim Karam in the glass enclosed atrium.

Time: 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Cost: The 2012 New Year's Eve Party Package costs $119 per person and includes an open bar; an hors d'oeuvres reception prior to the tapas-style stations for dinner; hats, noise makers and party favors for all; a midnight champagne toast  with countdown via satellite from Times Square; a Midnight Sandman breakfast buffet. Openings are still available; call 330-929-3000 for reservations.

Partiers can laugh their way into the New Year at the Funny Stop Comedy Club, which is offering early and late show packages Saturday night featuring headliner Dave Landau. He has been featured on NBC's Last Comic Standing, on Comedy Central and HBO. Master of ceremonies for the night will be Stan Piatt.

Time: Early show starts at 7 p.m. and the late show starts at 10:30 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are still available for both shows, either with or without dinner and other options, and range in price from $21 to $48 per person. Reservations are required; Call 330-923-4700.

Todaro's Party Center

Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a grand buffet dinner and desserts with an open martini bar. The video dance party will provide entertainment as everyone uses hats, noisemakers and a champagne toast to ring in 2012. Coffee will follow a ball drop at midnight to stay awake for the ultimate new-year-ring-in.

Time: 7 p.m.

Cost: Reservations are required for $90 tickets. Call 330-929-3377.

Skate the day away at Falls River Square. Stay warm with hot chocolate, coffee and other concessions at the lodge. Family and friends can enjoy this physical activity before toasting the new year at midnight.

Time: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: Free with CFOne card. $3 for non residents.
