Next in our is Robert Genet, former mayor of Barberton.

Genet served as mayor from 2008 to 2011 and before that served as Barberton's City Council president.

While in office, he was able to bring Stark State College and University of Akron satellite campuses to Barberton and both schools exceeded enrollment expectations. He also helped merge the Barberton Health Department with the county, which saves taxpayers $500,000 annually.

and Fairlawn-Bath Patch asked each the same five questions. If you have a question for the applicant, tell us in the comments and we'll ask them.

Please note: No one is running a campaign. The final applicant will be appointed by the trustees.

FB Patch: Why do you want to be Bath Township Administrator?

Robert Genet: I would like to be able to use my leadership abilities to impact the lives of the residents in the township.

FB Patch: What changes do you want to make/new ideas do you want to implement in Bath?

Genet: If selected, I would have community meetings to introduce myself to the residents and to get their feedback on how they perceive the township today and their vision for tomorrow.  I would take those thoughts and ideas and work with the residents to implement the changes necessary to meet the needs of the community.

FB Patch: Do you live in Bath Township? If not, do you plan to relocate?

Genet: I do not live in Bath. Knowing the importance of living in the community that you serve, if given the opportunity, I would likely move.  However, I am 15 minutes from the administrative offices.

FB Patch: Why are you qualified for this position?

Genet: I have spent the majority of my career in a leadership role both public and private.  I have a proven record that indicates I have been able to make tough decisions when necessary for the betterment of the community or company.  I would be able to bring this expertise to the administrators position.

FB Patch: What is your favorite season and why?

Genet: Fall is my favorite season.  I enjoy the beauty of the colors in the trees and the coolness in the air.
