Browns, Cavs and Indians Showcased in Amazing Gingerbread Home

A magical Cleveland holiday tradition is returning to Great Northern Mall this year.

Gingerbread Lane…an event by Welcome House … is featuring ten homes by area bakers that reflect the theme, Celebrating Cleveland’s Success!

Gingerbread Lane will feature stunningly decorated gingerbread houses that celebrate Cleveland’s renaissance, including homes honoring The Aquarium, Gordon Square and more. The display will be located by all of the other holiday traditions that Great Northern has been known for and will be on display from November 15 to December 24. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday, 10am – 9pm, Sunday 11am-6pm. Information can be found on welcomehousinc.org.

Lakewood’s KB Confections created a gingerbread home this year that showcases the Indians, Cavs and Browns….honoring Cleveland’s diehard fans. KB Confections features traditional baked goods based on time-tested recipes that bring back fond memories of family get-togethers. Their mission is to provide the highest quality baked goods offering only the best ingredients. Owner, Karen Bosworth is excited about their first year participation in Welcome House’s Gingerbread Lane. “It is an honor to showcase our gingerbread home this year. Other bakers participating in this event are Colozza’s Bakery, Fligner’s Market, Gingerbread Homes by Jon Thibo/Nick Fumic, Gypsy Beans and Baking Company, Hotspot Café, Hungry Bee Catering, Just Baked, Luna Bakery Cafe, Rito’s Italian Bakery, and Welcome House Community Center Clients.

As visitors go to Gingerbread Lane, we hope that they will be reminded of the warm and welcoming atmosphere maintained in the family-style group homes and in-home assistance programs that Welcome House operates and our goal to help folks with developmental disabilities live well-balanced and satisfying lives.”
