Here is a round-up of Police Blotter items from Patch communities in Northeast Ohio this week.

Ice Cold Beer Becomes Clue in Theft: A Bath officer was stopped about 2:45 a.m. Oct. 6 near Barnes and Noble by a woman who said she was a former police officer and had seen a man trying to conceal something under his shirt.

The officer located the man in a car with two other men in front of Acme. The officer found a can of Miller Lite under the seat of the man identified by the woman.  The man said he'd bought it at Shell True North. But the officer noted that the beer was still ice cold — and True North stops selling beer at 1 a.m.

Westlake teen arrested after accosting juveniles:  A 17-year-old Westlake boy was arrested at his home this morning after confronting students who were on their way to Hilliard Elementary School.  the Hilliard Elementary School principal reported complaints from three students that this male had lunged at them as they walked/biked past him together; he also tried to topple a fourth student bicyclist with his foot. 

Two men fight in the middle of Detroit Road: LakewoodPolice received a report of two men “pushing and shoving each other” in the middle of street at 16000 Detroit Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 6. One of the men was taken to Lakewood Hospital for evaluation.

Two men fight in the middle of Detroit Road: Westlake: A mid-afternoon, middle-of-the-road fight resulted in two bloodied men on Oct. 1. 

An altercation between a man in a truck and a motorcyclist resulted in one man being taken to the hospital after he was hit in the head by a hammer just after 3:30 p.m. in Westlake on Monday.
