Lake Effect Snow Advisory Issued For Lake County

Meteorologists say as much as 3 more inches of snow could fall today

Lake Effect Snow Advisory Issued For Lake County

Lest we forget during this unusually mild winter, it sometimes snows in Ohio.

The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow advisory for Lake and Geauga County.

Meteorologists are predicting another one to three inches of snow today. Some snow bands could get as many as five inches more.

Winds will blow 15 to 20 mph with the occasional gust reaching 30 mph. That's not as bad as Friday afternoon when some gusts were as fast as 50 mph. However, the winds will cause snow to drift, which makes clearing the roads more difficult.

The advisory will expire 6:30 p.m. today.
