Lakeland Community College Hosting Career Expo Today

More than 70 employers will be looking to fill hundreds of jobs

Lakeland Community College Hosting Career Expo Today

Lakeland Community College is hosting a Career Expo with more than 70 employers who will be trying to fill hundreds of jobs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in its fitness and athletic center.

Those employers include several Mentor businesses like BioLife Plasma Services, STERIS, Hudec Dental, Deepwood and more. Click here for a complete list of employers who will be there.

The jobs they are looking to fill range from entry-level positions to skill roles in the health, manufacturing, machining, marketing, sales and other fields.

The college recommends that job seekers bring at least 25 copies of their resume, as well as business cards if they have them. They should also prepare questions to ask the employers.

The college offers additional tips to job hunters on its web site.

This is the college's seventh annual expo. Last year, more than 500 job hunters attended.

The expo is free to attend and open to the public. Anyone with questions is encouraged to call 440-525-7222 or email careerservices@lakelandcc.edu.

Also today at the Lakeland campus:

  • Lakeland's Biotechnology Science program is having an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. in H 202. Learn more here.
  • Using Geographic Information Systems and GPS units, people can participate in a free outdoor geocaching scavenger hunt. Learn more here.
