Strongsville Lighting Ceremony is Nov. 23

Thousands will crowd City Commons to see Santa arrive

Strongsville Lighting Ceremony is Nov. 23

Strongsville's annual lighting ceremony on the City Commons is set again for the day after Thanksgiving.

The hugely popular annual event, which includes Santa's arrival on a fire truck, will start at dusk on Nov 23, 2012.

Mayor Tom Perciak said he expects things to get under way about 5:30 p.m.

After the mayor flips the switch to light up the Winter Wonderland on the Commons, Santa arrives on a decked-out Strongsville fire truck.

The event includes free hot cocoa and other refreshments. There are also live reindeer on display.
