Intoxicated Man Breaks Into Westlake Business, Eats Muffin, Gets Arrested

The man was sitting in the business, alarm ringing, eating a muffin, when police arrived and arrested him.

WESTLAKE, OH - You ever get a craving for a particular food? For me, I love chocolate chip cookies. I can't help it. I need them sometimes, I fiend for them. They're bad for my health and I don't care, sometimes I need to eat them.

Well, a Westlake man has a serious thing for muffins. The man got intoxicated, broke into a business, set off the alarm, and then sat there and ate his muffin. You can see a picture of the exact muffin he was eating above.

That incident and others are detailed below.

He told police that he thought he left the keys the car and then went off with friends. The Lakewood man's story was supported by one of his friends, a 24-year-old Parma Heights man.

Here's the weird part. The car that was reported stole was later involved in a car crash in Cleveland and was impounded after the driver fled the scene. The other driver involved in the crash was contacted by Westlake Police and that driver said the man who fled the scene was the Lakewood man.

Warrants were issued for both the Westlake (Tampering with Records and Obstructing Official Business) and Parma Hts. (Obstructing Official Business) men. One man was arrested on Feb. 1 and the Parma Hts. man on Feb. 2.
