Attorney Marc G. Doumbas of Westlake has been indicted along with another lawyer for bribery.
Doumbas, 44, and Giles Timothy Marshall, 63, of Olmsted Falls are each facing two counts of bribery.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said this was part of an ongoing corruption investigation and that further evidence was gotten in a search of the Bentleyville home of Anthony Calabrese III on Tuesday morning.
Calabrese, also an attorney, is scheduled to go on trial in February on racketeering and corruption-related charges including bribery and conspiracy to commit fraud.
The charges allege that between April 19 and Nov. 6 of this year, Doumbas and Marshall tried twice to bribe a witness in a criminal case, wanting the witness to change their testimony in exchange for cash.
According to Ohio Bar Association records, Doumbas' law office is in Cleveland. His specialties are listed as bankruptcy; civil rights; criminal law; estate planning, trust and probate; family law and domestic relations; general practice; labor and employment; litigation; personal injury; and workers' compensation.
Doumbas and Marshall are scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 3.
