The flagpole at Red Soils Campus stands in the Circle of Honor, an area which commemorates the actions and sacrifices of local veterans and their families.

Late last year, a memorial in honor of county native Larry Dahl was relocated to the Circle of Honor. Dahl was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for sacrificing his life for others in Vietnam.
