May Day Portland: Rally Planned for 2 P.M.
More than 1,000 have responded to a Facebook posting though it's not known how many people will actually attend.

A Facebook posting announcing plans for a May Day rally and assembly in downtown Portland has received 1,100 people indicating interest in the event.
It's not known how many of those people actually plan on attending.
The posting, labeled "2016 Portland May Day Rally" indicates that there will be an "assembly" from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a "rally" from 2 p.m. to 4 pm.

The event will be held in Shemanski Park at SW 10th and Park.
Last year, protesters clashed briefly with Portland Police who refused to allow them to cross the Burnside Bridge and disrupt traffic.

Some protesters threw water bottles, eggs, and other things at police.
A second clash happened at Pioneer Place where protesters were blocked at one entrance but still managed to get in.
