Pedestrian Struck by Blue Line MAX Train

Circumstances still under investigation

A woman was rushed to the hospital after he she walked in front of an oncoming MAX train Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 4:15 by 143rd and East Burnside Street.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with traumatic injuries.

Witnesses told police she had intentionally stepped in front of the train.

Westbound MAX service along the Blue Line was impacted and shuttle buses serviced passengers between 122nd and 162nd.
