Portland Weather: A Freezing Rain's A-Gonna Fall
"Light glaze of ice expected on most surfaces...may lead to a very treacherous commute," says the National Weather Service.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse - ice, ice, baby.
With snow still covering much of the metro region, temperatures struggling to reach 30 degrees, the National Weather Service says that a "major ice storm" is bearing down on us.
Light freezing rain is going to start this morning, coating the roads with a "light glaze of ice," according to forecasters. The result is it "may lead to a very treacherous commute."

The freezing rain will get harder as the morning goes with heavier precipitation by late afternoon.
"Most of Portland/Vancouver metro area will remain at or below freezing into Tuesday evening with significant ice accumulations in many areas," according to the weather service.

Accumulation east of I-205 could be up to one inch with twice that in the Columbia River Gorge.
The National Weather Service says that an ice storm warning will be in place through 10:00 Tuesday night.
The icy forecast has forced TriMet to cancel some bus lines and run reduced service on MAX. They urge people to check TriMet.org/alerts for the latest.
And when it does warm up - think about an ark. A flood watch is in effect until Thursday morning.
