3-Alarm Blaze Reported At Jenkintown Car Dealership

JENKINTOWN, PA — A three-alarm fire was reported at a Jenkintown car dealership early Tuesday evening, authorities said. The blaze was first reported at about 4:50 p.m. at the Fairway near Rydal Road, the location of Bryner Chevrolet, according to MontcoPA Active Incidents.

The fire originated in the showroom of the dealership and quickly spread, according to Montco Fire Wire.

The second and third alarms were struck by around 5:20 p.m., according to authorities.

Firefighters opened up the roof of the dealership to battle the flames.

The Abington Township Fire Department was joined by crews from several surrounding municipalities on the scene.

It's not yet clear if there are any injuries or what started the fire.

Motorists should be aware of the incident and look out for possible road closures and delays.
