Montco Public Safety Incidents Site Down

The county’s Department of Public Safety is currently upgrading its 911 dispatch system.

Montco Public Safety Incidents Site Down

The  WebCAD Active Incidents website from the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety (DPS) is not updating itself with active fire, EMS and traffic incidents while the department upgrades equipment on their county 911 dispatch system.

Because of upgrades being made to its 911 dispatch system, the connection between the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), which populates the website, and the website itself, will not be functional until everything is sorted out, according to Tim Elbertson, a DPS Community Outreach Coordinator.

There is no specific timeframe for when the website will again repopulate itself with current incidents. “Our main priority is to make sure that the 911 dispatch system is running,” Elbertson said.
