Crews Battle Underground Fire In Ardmore
No one was hurt when a fire broke out underground in Ardmore Monday morning, according to fire officials.
ARDMORE, PA — Firefighters battles an underground fire Monday morning in Ardmore.
According to the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, crews were called at about 5:46 a.m. to a store on Coulter Avenue when a fire alarm went off.
The first firefighters on scene found an underground fire in the street.

Fire officials said PECO also showed up to handle underground equipment that was on fire.
With help from the Bryn Mawr Fire Company, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters went into nearby stores to check for any fire and ventilated the stores.
The fire department was on location for over two hours.
