Reminder: Electronics Recycling Saturday At Whole Foods

If you've been trying to figure out how to get rid of a junky television or broken air conditioner, Saturday may be your lucky day: in Wynnewood will offer free electronics recycling from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Individuals and small businesses (less than 50 employees) are welcome to participate, and can drop off "anything with a plug," including:

  • Computers
  • Monitors
  • Printers
  • Air-conditioners
  • Computer accessories
  • Household appliances

eForce Compliance, the company who will collect the waste, will ensure that all materials are responsibly recycled, a Whole Foods press release states:

All material collected will be responsibly recycled by eForce Compliance, who maintains a zero landfill policy and zero export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries. eForce is Pennsylvania's only multi-certified electronic recycling company (R2, e-Stewards, ISO 14011) and assures all data media will be destroyed or wiped at their facility.

At an electronics recycling event in February, . More than 100,000 pounds of electronics were collected at Whole Foods stores across the region. It was the largest collection event held by Whole Foods Market in the Tri-State to date, according to the company.

The Wynnewood Whole Foods is located at 339 E Lancaster Ave. in Wynnewood. Residents can drop off electronics on Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
