On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion Police Department announced the following incidents from the past week in the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd area:

Burglary: On Dec. 3, officers responded to the 100 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on report of a burglary. The complainant told police that on Dec. 2, she noticed several food items missing from her kitchen and the blinds in her master bedroom disheveled. A patio chair was outside of the apartment underneath the window, but there did not appear to be force applied to the window, police said. Taken were Cheez-its, Pop Tarts, apple pie and Honey Buns—a total loss of approximately $10. There are no suspects, police said.

Theft from vehicle: Sometime between Nov. 17 and Nov. 19, various

unlocked vehicle on the 300 block of Cynwyd Rd., police said. The
items stolen include two pairs of Ugg boots, Armani sunglasses, and a
large soccer-style bag.

Vehicle theft: Employees at Avis Rental in Bala Cynwyd reported a
vehicle missing from the lot sometime between Nov. 20 and 21, police

Drug possession and disorderly conduct: On Dec. 7 around 12:10 a.m.,
an officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling with no headlights
on down City Avenue. After conducting a traffic stop, the officer
noticed the 18-year-old driver seemed extremely nervous, police said.
The Lansdale resident admitted to having a marijuana grinder in his
car; he produced it and was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

Retail theft: $120 in laundry detergent and $90 in body wash were
stolen from the CVS at 101 City Ave. on Dec. 8, police said. Around
3:18 p.m., a man wearing an orthopedic boot on his right foot walked
out of the store with a large duffle bag on his shoulder and kept
walking despite the cashier’s yells for him to stop. The man
eventually stopped but refused to let the cashier look in his bag,
police said. When the clerk went back inside, he saw a second man
carrying a blue drawstring bag leave through the pharmacy’s rear exit,
according to the report. After studying surveillance footage, it was
determined that the first man took eight bottles of Tide detergent
valued at $15 each and the second man took nine containers of Ivory
body wash valued at $10 each, police said.

The first man is described as a black male in his 60s with a fully
bushy black and white beard, no glasses, wearing a dark wool cap, a
blue skirt and an orthopedic boot on his right leg. The second man is
described as a black male in his 40s wearing a blue wool cap with a
