DUI Checkpoint This Weekend In Bensalem

Bucks County’s DUI Task Force will hold a checkpoint along Street Road in Bensalem Township this weekend.

According to the Bucks County District Attorney's office, at least 17 officers from seven municipal departments will operate a stationary, fully staffed checkpoint Saturday and Sunday.

"All passing vehicles will be stopped at the checkpoint, where drivers will be observed for signs of impairment. Any who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be subjected to field sobriety tests and possible arrest," the District Attorney's office said.

The checkpoint will be the second such operation for the task force this year. A checkpoint conducted on St. Patrick’s Day along the Newtown Bypass resulted in four DUI charges and one arrest for drug possession.
