City Council is seeking potential replacements for Controller Meg Holland who announced last week that she will be .
City Council President Eric Evans said Tuesday night that council will be accepting applications – which should have letters of interest and a resume – until January 31.
Council has until March 1 – 30 days after the date of Holland’s resignation – to appoint a replacement.
Some time in February, Evans said, council will hold a special meeting during which the applicants will be publicly interviewed by council members and the new controller will be selected.
Council’s pick will be controller until a special election is held this year to fill the remainder of Holland’s term, which was scheduled to end in 2013.
