Gallery: Jungle Mural Revealed at Frank Sarris Public Library

patrons oohed and aahed over a new jungle mural at the entrance to the children's section Thursday, when the artwork was unveiled.
Lindsay Wright, a 2007 graduate, said the artwork associated with the mural and its 63 scientifically rendered jungle animals took about 250 hours to complete.
The recent University of Pittsburgh graduate said her mother got her involved with the project after former library Director Lyn Crouse expressed an interest in such a piece of art.

"I wanted to do a portfolio builder," Wright said.
And she couldn't have been happier with the end result—or the response she got from family and friends.

"It feels really awesome," she said.
Wright said if you take a close look, you'll find some animals that might not first come to mind when people think jungle dweller.
And that was by design.
"I wanted it to be educational," she said.
