1 Killed In East Mt Airy House Fire: Report
One person died in an East Mount Airy house fire that broke out Thursday morning.

EAST MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – One person died in an East Mount Airy fire that broke out Thursday morning.
The fire broke out in a two-story residence on the 1200 block of Cardeza Street in East Mt. Airy at about 8:30 a.m., according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.
CBS Philadelphia reports an adult died of smoke inhalation while inside the home.

The fire was placed under control at about 9:50 a.m.
CBS reports the home did not have smoke detectors and that it's still unclear how the fire started.
