Forget reindeer, Santa and Mrs. Claus will board a fire truck into to the township to kick off the holiday season.

You Better Watch Out! Santa Claus Ready to Arrive in Cranberry

We hope you’re on the nice and not the naughty list, because Santa Claus is coming to town.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their first stop in Cranberry Friday, Nov. 16 in front of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Rochester Road. The event starts at 7 p.m.

Arriving on a specially-commissioned fire truck at about 7:40 p.m., Santa will greet area residents before throwing a switch to light the Community Tree on the center's front lawn.

In addition, the event will feature free family activities and crafts. All are welcome at the celebration.

The Claus' arrival also launches the 2012 Cranberry Tree Gallery inside the building.

After Thursday, Santa will not be back in Cranberry until the “Milk and Cookies with Santa” events on December 1, 8, and 9.

Registration for meeting Santa on one of those dates must be made in advance with the Parks & Recreation Department. A program fee of $12 per child, or $9 for Cranberry residents, is payable at the time of registration.

To register, contact Cranberry's Parks & Recreation Department by phone at 724-776-4806 x1129 or online at www.cranberrytownship.org/programs
