Pittsburgh Schools Cancel After-School Activities

Pittsburgh School District buildings will be closed Monday evening due to weather concerns.

Due to severe weather forecasts, after-school activities have been cancelled at all Pittsburgh Public School buildings. The buildings will be closed for the evening after the school day ends on Monday, Oct. 29.

This includes club meetings, athletic games and practices and activities with community organizations that hold building permits.

Schools will have regular dismissal times. If parents and guardians have any questions regarding transportation or pick-up times, they are asked to contact their child’s individual school.

Buildings affected in Brookline and Beechview include:

Pittsburgh Brashear High School: 412-571-7300.

Pittsburgh Carrick High School: 412-885-7700.

Pittsburgh Brookline K-8 and Pittsburgh Brookline Early Childhood Center: 412-571-7380.

More information is available on the Pittsburgh Public Schools website. School buildings and facilities are expected to operate during normal hours on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
