Bucks County Teacher Had Sexual Contact With Middle Schoolers: DA

A Bucks County man and social studies teacher allegedly had sexual contact with two teenage middle school students, the DA said.

CHALFONT, PA — A Bucks County teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with two middle school students, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Jason Gattuso, 39, of Chalfont, met both students while he was a social studies teacher at Springfield Township Middle School, the DA said.

The sexual contact occurred when the victims were 14 and 15 years old, respectively, authorities said. The contact happened in Gattuso's car, one of the victim's homes and in other locations, according to the DA.

He will be charged with felony statutory sexual assault, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and related counts, authorities said.

Officials said the Springfield Township School District was cooperative with the investigation.

A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 9.
