Central Bucks Gymnasts post impressive results at Eastern State Gymnastic meets

The Girls of Central Bucks have strong showings at Level 9 and Level 7 at ESGA meets.

The girls of Central Bucks Gymnastics have been very busy this competitive season and along the way put together some impressive results at their last few Gymnastic meets.

After hosting the Holiday Invitational in early December the Central Bucks girls traveled to AJS Pancott in West Chester, PA for their second Eastern States Gymnastics Association meet of the season.

At level 9 fifteen year old Melissa Ginaldi put together another stellar performance to earn first place All-Around with a combined score of 37.4. The Furlong native placed first in vault, beam and the floor exercise. Her teammate 13 year-old Emma Silberman from New Hope earned first place All-Around in her age division with a combined score of 36.2. Central Bucks swept the podium at level 10 with Alexandra Kothe placing third, Valerie Rube placing second and Roxi Trachtenberg finishing on top of the All-Around podium. The 18 year-old Doylestown local placed first on the uneven bars (9.1), balance beam (9.325) and floor exercise (8.975) to finish with a combined score of 36.4.

At level 8 in the 14 and over division Megan Lengel from Doylestown earned a score of a 9.1 on the uneven bars and placed second All-Around with a combined score of a 34.05. Emma Severn and Juliette Hopkins also from Doylestown placed third and fourth respectively in the All-Around standings.

12 year-old Jillian Troth led the Level 7 girls with a first place All- Around finish in the 12-13 year old age group. The Furlong native finished with a combined event score of 37.30 and placed first on the balance beam with a 9.350. Mackenzie Perry from Doylestown placed first on the floor exercise with a 9.4. In the 11-12 year-old group Keri Doheny also from Doylestown placed third All-Around and put together an impressive beam routine that earned her first place with a 9.375. In the 11 and under group Alli Troth placed first on Vault with a 9.575 her teammate Leah Feldman finished just behind her in 2nd with a 9.475.

At level 6 Julie Buckley placed third overall in the 13 and over group. She finished first on the vault with a 9.2.

On the weekend of January 10th -11th the Central Bucks Gymnastics team traveled to Berks Gymnastic Academy in Reading, PA for the ESGA Championship meet.

Sisters Jillian and Alli Troth form Furlong, PA led the level 7 girls to the first place team award at the ESGA Championships. Jillian earned first place All-Around honors with a combined score of 37.875 in the 11-12 year old division. The 12 year-old placed first on the uneven bars (9.625), balance beam (9.375) and floor exercise (9.550). In the same age group Mackenzie Perry from Doylestown placed third on the floor exercise with a 9.5. In the 11 and under group Alli Troth placed first on vault (9.4) and second on the balance beam (9.35) to earn the All-Around title with a combined score of 37.100. Leah Feldman from Furlong placed first on floor with a 9.25 and second on vault with a 9.3. Julia Kix from Pipersville placed first on the uneven bars with a 9.2. Mia Schnapf from Jamison placed second on floor with a 9.5 and Doylestown native Keri Doheny placed third on the balance beam with a 9.175

Central Bucks gymnasts Emma Silberman, Melissa Ginaldi, Savona Cerra and Sarah Klapper led the level 9 girls to the team title at the ESGA Championships. 15 year-old Melissa Ginaldi was named Gymnast of the year after placing first All-Around with a combined score of 36.1. The Furlong native earned the title for having the highest cumulative All- Around scores from all three ESGA meets regardless of age. Ginaldi placed first on vault (9.425) and first on the balance beam (8.85). New Hope native Emma Silberman placed first All-Around in the 14 year old group with a combined score of 36.375. Silberman placed first on the uneven bars (9.0) , balance beam (9.2) and floor exercise (9.225). Sarah Klapper from Doylestown placed first all around with a combined score of 32.05 in the 17 year-old group. Savona Cerra placed first on the vault (9.25) and first All-Around with a combined score of 35.6 In the 16 year-old group.

At level 8 in the 13-14 year old division Jessica Wentz finished with a 9.2 on the uneven bars and a combined score of 35.050. Megan Lengel scored a 9.125 on floor in the same age group. In the 15 and over age division Emma Severn scored a 8.950 on the Balance Beam.

At level 6 Julia Buckley from Doylestown placed first on the vault with an 8.85 and placed third on both the uneven Bars (8.70) and floor exercise (9.10).

At level 5 Juliette Cavalluzzo place first All-Around in the 10 and 11 year-old age group with a combined score of 37.700. Cavalluzo placed first in every event with her highest score coming on the balance beam (9.675). Katie Pubins placed second on vault with a 9.275. Brianna Rott placed third on the balance beam with a 9.050 and Grace Walton placed third on the floor exercise with a 9.350.
