Doylestown Firefighters Put Out Car Fire In First Call Of 2017

A Monday evening car fire on Limekiln and North Shady Retreat roads was the first call of 2017 for Doylestown Fire Company No. 1. The local firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which began just after 6:30 p.m.

According to information from the fire company, firefighters Bill Price and Todd Kulp arrived enroute to the station on scene and reported that the engine compartment was well involved.

"Engine 19 arrived, and a hand line was pulled and the fire quickly extinguished. Engine 79 arrived and assisted with overhaul," the fire company said.

No injuries were reported.
