Doylestown's Kids Castle Gets $10K Grant

The Timken Foundation awarded the grant towards the effort to Build the Kingdom at Kids Castle in Doylestown Township.

Friends of Kids Castle has received a $10,000 grant to help fund Phase 2 of the improvement project at the popular Doylestown Township playground.

The Timken Foundation awarded the grant towards the effort to Build the Kingdom at Kids Castle.

“This grant will help us get closer to our ambitious goal to install a play area for children ages 2 to 5 year old at Kids Castle for use by summer 2015,” said Joe Salvati, vice chairman of the Friends of Kids Castle. “The play equipment at Kids Castle is presently for children ages 5 to 12 so this will be a great addition for families with children ages 2 to 5.”

To make it happen, the Friends of Kids Castle are still seeking sponsors for four play pieces and are optimistic they will achieve that goal. Sponsorship levels range from $5,500 to $6,000, Salvati explained.

Sponsors will receive recognition in a prominent location within the fence line at Kids Castle.
